Who is Zahra Buhari?
Zahra Buhari is the daughter of the fourth and current president of the federal republic of Nigeria and his wife, Aisha Buhari. She is a financially dependent woman, one that is quite socially active in comparison to most of her family members. She is a Nigerian-born and based microbiologist, a businesswoman, and a philanthropist. Here are things to know about the beautiful Zahra Buhari:
Zahra Buhari was born on 18th December 1994 to Hausa parents Mohammadu Buhari and Aisha Buhari. She is a native of Daura, Kastina State, Nigeria. Her parents are also the president and the first lady of Nigeria. She was born the third daughter and fourth child to her mother but the seventh child in her extended family. Zahra much like her other siblings were raised strictly as Muslim and she grew to sustain her beliefs and embody her culture proudly as is often seen in her photographs and public sightings.
She has a long list of siblings, four directly from her mother; two elder sisters – Aisha and Halima, an elder brother- Yusuf and a younger sister- Amina. Her stepmother, Safinatu, who is the first wife of her father has five children of her own and they are Zulaihat (deceased), Fatima, Musa (deceased), Hadiza, and Safinatu. Her extended family is also large with aunts and uncles.
Just like her other siblings, Zahra is higher educated and privileged to have attended the best of schools and most of them in the United States. Zahra Buhari first attended the Kaduna International School before moving abroad and then schooled at the British School of Lome. She did her College abroad as well at the University of Surrey, the United States which is where she earned her degree in Medical Microbiology.

Her degree set aside, Zahra made the choice to fall in her mother’s footsteps as a philanthropist. She never practiced nor took up her job with her certificate after graduation. Instead, she has created an NGO named ACE, which is an acronym for Assisting, Caring and Empowering. This NGO is target at the Sickle Celled. The NGO offers free medicals and care to sickle celled individuals.
Zahra shared in an interview to have been inspired by her mother, Aisha Buhari, who is equally a philanthropist, to get into the world of making an impact and saving lives internationally.
The philanthropist is also one outspoken individual. She is set up on just about every social media platform and she often engages socially. She is also a clear individualist and a feminist, evident from a number of her social media posts.

On 16th December 2016, Zahra got married to Ahmed Indimi. Her husband, Ahmed Indimi, is a wealthy Born State native. Equally well educated as he holds a degree in Information Technology and a Master’s degree from the same university.
The couple exchanged vows in an elaborately planned wedding ceremony that took place at Abuja, the country’s capital. Attended by friends, associates, and well-off members of the nation’s elite class, the wedding caused quite a media buzz at the time.
Their marriage is now blessed with two children. First, a son who was born on 9th July 2018 in Madrid, Spain, and two years later, a baby girl, born in Dubai, United Arab Emirate.
